How is the material received?
Material is received in a trance-like or altered state. Speech-like impressions, ideas, or structured passages arise internally and are recorded.
Do you lose consciousness during the altered state?
No. The state is controlled, aware, and stable. There is no loss of agency.

Is altered state similar to dreaming?

What role does the subconscious play in altered state?
